In this guide, I will show you how to use the DIY Home Offer Submission Tool.
Currently the tool is only available for buying a single family resale home in Texas. The purpose of the tool is to help buyers fill out a standard purchase form using Texas Real Estate Commission’s purchase contract without the help of a realtor. It is still recommended to consult with a realtor or a real estate attorney to review the purchase contract before sending it to the seller.
Since most of the transactions in Texas is done via the promulgated forms from Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC), using the same TREC form makes it easier for the listing agent to understand the terms and offer on the home.
After clicking on the Texas Offer Submission Tool, you will be able to write an offer using the Texas TREC One-to-four residential home purchase offer (resale), which is one of the most common contracts used in the home purchase process in Texas.
After entering all the required inputs, an offer in PDF is created. You will receive and email from support@diyhomebuyer.com with the PDF attached. A google drive folder will be created and shared with your email.
It is your responsibility to review and ensure all information is correct. Consult a realtor or an attorney if you have any questions.
There are fields that you need to fill out prior to sending the file over.
